In Plain English

At Leslie Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric, we want you to know exactly what happens with your information when you visit our website or use our services. Here’s the plain-language version — no dense legal jargon, just a straightforward explanation.
This policy covers our website, www.LeslieRepair.com, and the text messages we send to customers and Leslie Family Plan members. Treating your information carefully is part of doing business the way we’d want a company to treat our own family’s information.
If you upload a photo through our site — say, of a leak or a broken unit — keep in mind that smartphone photos often carry hidden location data (EXIF/GPS). If you’d rather not share your exact location that way, strip that data before uploading.
Some pages may include content from other websites — an embedded video or map, for example. That content behaves exactly as if you’d visited the other site directly, and it may collect data about you, use its own cookies, and track your interaction with it — especially if you’re logged into that other site.
When you sign up for text updates or join a Leslie Family Plan, we’ll send service reminders, appointment updates, and membership information by text. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance.
No mobile information — including your phone number or opt-in consent — is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
If you have an online account with us and request a password reset, the reset email will include your IP address for security purposes.
We don’t sell your information. We share it only with the trusted services that help us run our business — things like spam-filtering tools, our texting platform, and our scheduling software — and only as needed to provide our services to you. Your text messaging opt-in status and phone number are never included in that sharing for marketing purposes.
We take Illinois’s privacy protections seriously, including our obligations under the state’s data breach notification law — if we ever experience a breach involving your personal information, we’ll notify you promptly as required by law. We don’t collect biometric information (like fingerprints or voiceprints) through our website, so the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act doesn’t come into play here.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or the law. If we make significant changes, we’ll post an update here. Questions? Reach out to us at [email protected] or 630-985-9800.
