Privacy Policy

In Plain English

Last updated: August 25, 2026

At Leslie Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric, we want you to know exactly what happens with your information when you visit our website or use our services. Here’s the plain-language version — no dense legal jargon, just a straightforward explanation.

This policy covers our website, www.LeslieRepair.com, and the text messages we send to customers and Leslie Family Plan members. Treating your information carefully is part of doing business the way we’d want a company to treat our own family’s information.

Information We Collect

  • Quote & Contact Forms: When you request a quote, schedule service, or reach out through our website, we collect what you give us — your name, email, phone number, and service address.
  • Comments: If you leave a comment on our site, we collect what’s in the comment along with your IP address and browser information, to help us catch spam.
  • Automatic Information: Like most websites, ours logs basic technical details (like IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and running smoothly.

Photos You Share With Us

If you upload a photo through our site — say, of a leak or a broken unit — keep in mind that smartphone photos often carry hidden location data (EXIF/GPS). If you’d rather not share your exact location that way, strip that data before uploading.

Cookies

  • If you leave a comment, you can choose to have your name, email, and website saved in a cookie so you don’t have to re-enter them next time. These last a year.
  • If you log in to an account on our site, we use a few cookies to keep you logged in and remember your display preferences. Login cookies last 2 days (2 weeks if you check “Remember Me”); preference cookies last a year.

Embedded Content

Some pages may include content from other websites — an embedded video or map, for example. That content behaves exactly as if you’d visited the other site directly, and it may collect data about you, use its own cookies, and track your interaction with it — especially if you’re logged into that other site.

Text Messages

When you sign up for text updates or join a Leslie Family Plan, we’ll send service reminders, appointment updates, and membership information by text. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.

Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance.

No mobile information — including your phone number or opt-in consent — is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Password Resets

If you have an online account with us and request a password reset, the reset email will include your IP address for security purposes.

Who We Share Information With

We don’t sell your information. We share it only with the trusted services that help us run our business — things like spam-filtering tools, our texting platform, and our scheduling software — and only as needed to provide our services to you. Your text messaging opt-in status and phone number are never included in that sharing for marketing purposes.

How Long We Keep Your Information

  • Comments are kept indefinitely so we can recognize returning visitors and avoid holding your future comments for review.
  • Customer and account information is kept as long as your account or relationship with us is active. You can ask us to update or delete it at any time.

Your Rights

Illinois doesn’t currently have a broad consumer privacy law like California’s, so the following isn’t required by state law — but we offer it because it’s the right thing to do:
  • Ask what personal information we have about you, and get a copy of it.
  • Ask us to correct information that’s wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your information (except anything we’re legally required to keep, like records for tax, warranty, or security purposes).

A Note for Illinois Residents

We take Illinois’s privacy protections seriously, including our obligations under the state’s data breach notification law — if we ever experience a breach involving your personal information, we’ll notify you promptly as required by law. We don’t collect biometric information (like fingerprints or voiceprints) through our website, so the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act doesn’t come into play here.

Keeping Your Information Safe

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or the law. If we make significant changes, we’ll post an update here. Questions? Reach out to us at [email protected] or 630-985-9800.
